Nedavno sam bio u Munchenu, gledao sam utakmicu Bayerna i Leverkusena. Sjedio sam tamo u loži i sreo neke bivše šefove i svi su me nažalost, ispitivali o tom događaju, nitko nije spomenuo našu dobru igru protiv Talijana. To me čini tužnim. Smatram da sada, kako smo dio Europske unije, moramo poduzeti sve da to iskorijenimo i vratimo ljude na stadione. Jer vi ako sa vašim sinom, ili sa vašim djetetom ne dođete na utakmicu, neće ni vaše dijete steći naviku doći sa svojom djecom na utakmicu. Mi jednostavno gubimo generacije, a u Njemačkoj ili Austriji, gdje sam živio i sada živim, toga nema.'
